A retired local newspaper reporter "Kislingbury to speak on Shilts," Gazette-Times, Feb. 11, 2016, p. A2 online as "Friends of the Albany Public Library discussion with Graham Kislingbury," gazettetimes.com posted Feb. 9, 2016.The short article says, "Kislingbury will talk about the late Randy Shilts, who was one of the first openly gay journalists hired by a major daily newspaper. He was also an author of groundbreaking books on the AIDS epidemic and gays and lesbians in the military."
